Sergeant George "The Baron" Upfold
(1495465)
Rear Gunner
Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve

Home: Welcome
Son of Ernest Edward Upfold and Louisa Upfold of Greetland, Yorkshire

He was the son of Ernest and Louisa of 3 Shutts Lane, Greetland. Attended Lindwell Methodist Church Boys Brigade
He was an overlooker for Robinson and Barraclough, Greetland.
George was a member of Halifax Bohemians Concert Party and enlisted in March 1941.
In the photographs of George he certainly displays a presence that I think fits this theatrical background and his most glamorous title, "The Baron".
He is commemorated on the memorial board of the Old Boys 5th Halifax (Elland) Boys Brigade.
