Son of George and Edith Bell of Grantham from 31 High Dyke, Harrowby Estete, Grantham. Before the war he worked at Aveling Barford Limited.

Arthur's mum mentioned a cousin in her will several years back. We took a chance that this cousin, or any relatives, might still be at the address mentioned in the will and Jenny responded to the letter almost immediately supplying a copy of the photo of the crew that the Wheatcrofts had already given us. It was a long shot, that worked!
