You can see the original records of the recovery and identification of the crash and also details of the German pilots who were active on the night of the 14th January 1944

This is the hand written crash record from the night of the 14th.
The second entry shows a crash at Heiningen at 1930, a Lancaster 98% destroyed, shot by fighter.

This is, we believe, the German claim for the shooting down of JB141.

Lt Robert Wolf is credited with the shooting from NJG 5 (Nachtjagdgeschwader or Night Fighter Wing) at 1923 that night. He died on the 23rd April 1944 only 4km from Heiningen at Achim in his Bf 110G-4 Werknr. 720221 C9+AK have 21 kills credited to his career
